GLESNIEL & KARINA (Cuba-Norge)
Salsa / Reggaetón Instructors
An energetic Dj and dance instructor with 12 years experience, Glesniel Pérez Montalvo, was born in Havana, Cuba and is a Mechanical Engineer Graduate.
From a young age, he has been passionately fanatical about both traditional and new styles of Cuban dance that are seen and enjoyed in the streets of Old Havana. Due to this enthusiasm, he was actively involved in school dance groups. From the age of 20, he participated in Rueda de Casino competitions, and he was a member of the rueda group, "Los Marqueses de la Vibora”, which performed in the recording of the video clip, "Yo vengo de Cuba” by Fclan. Before moving to Bergen, Norway in 2014, he worked as an instructor at the Cuban dance schools Casa de Maisuri and La Casa del Son in Havana, and performed at the well-known club, 1830, in addition to other popular dance venues with his dance group.
Today, Glesniel runs his own dance school in Bergen, Cuba-Norge Dans, together with his dancing partner and wife, Karina. They have also established their own local dance festival, Minifestival Bailando for the last several years, a project that will continue in the future.
As a teacher, Glesniel has excellent pedagogy, tremendous energy, and is loved by his students. He loves social events and good fun (La Gozadera).
WE PRESENT OUR INSTRUCTORS:
VICTOR & ROSEANNE (Chile-Norge)
Victor er laid back, varm og tålmodig.
TOMMY AND KATARINA (Spania-Norge)
Tomás March was born in the province of Malaga, Spain. From an early age, dance has been very present in his life. When he was only 12, he began to dance hip-hop, funki, break, etc. His passion for dance led him to learn Latin dances which he now shares to others by teaching with his partner Katarina.
Katarina has always been enthusiastic about dance and excelled in ballet and street jazz growing up. At 17, she was teaching street jazz together with her sister. Her passion for Latin dance first started in 2013 when she followed her dream and started taking Salsa and Rueda classes in Australia. When introduced to Bachata, she fell even more in love with Latin dance - the elegance, music and rhythmicality.
In their classes, Tomás and Katarina focus on the importance of good basics as a fundament for developing advanced dance skills. Tomás is enthusiastic, passionate and likes to challenge his students. Katarina breaks the steps down, gives thorough explanations and makes the sensuality of the dance humorous and comfortable.

THERESE LUDVIGSEN FJEREIDE
Lady Styling Instructor
Mina began dancing Kizomba some years ago and it has become her ultimate passion! She started taking private lessons with her mentors, Victor and Roseanne, as well as with some of the big names within Kizomba, for example, Albir Rojas, Azzedine, Audi MPK, and others. She has danced internationally for 2 years. Her forté is musicality and a soft follow.
"Mina is an incredible follower. She emphasizes your movements in an incredible way, without disturbing her partners lead. Her steps are soft and controlled and she has super connection." Lupita Hernández
